About Me

Jiri Kripac - they call me the Bouncin' Czech

I am a jazz musician, working in traditional jazz and swing, as well as being an artist. My art is all about assembling pieces of retired instruments - mainly pianos - and giving them a second life. It all began in the 1990s when I came across an abandoned piano, which I took home and lovingly gave a new life.

I work from Feral Arts Studio in Avoca Beach on the beautiful Central Coast of NSW. From this studio, the sounds of old instruments are transformed to a visual state.
